To the End of the Trail follows the lives of a small group of pioneer settlers in the Indian Territory of what has since become Nebraska from the late 1830s, focusing on the women among them, who play a pivotal role in how the group manages its destiny and the way it navigates a path through the tumultuous events the individuals in it are involved in.
